Service Description

**General registration opens October 4** This 6 week class for any beginner sewer-- whether you've never touched the sewing machine or you want to practice your basic sewing skills. This class is designed so that you can take it more than once while learning new skills and pushing yourself with increasingly challenging projects. The complete Sewing Foundations curriculum will also give you some experience in garment making, bag making and quilt making. Project curriculum includes (you won't make everything your first session!): -Drawstring Bag -Fabric Basket -Pillowcase -Zipper Pouch -Apron -Tote Bag -Piped zipper Pillow cover -Basic Woven Shirt -Quilted Placemats Registration includes patterns for every project you work on in class. Dates and Times: Thursdays, November 7th, 14th, 21st, December 5th, 12th and 19th. 7pm - 9pm Please note: there is no class on 11/28 (See Class Listings for different sessions) Instructor: Laura Make-up Days: There are no makeup days for mini-sessions. Materials: Materials are not included in the cost of registration. You can purchase a material kit from the studio for $45 or purchase on your own using the list you receive the first day of class. Equipment: You are welcome to use our machines or bring your own. Foundations vs. 101: Adult Sewing Machine 101 is our crash course in how to use a sewing machine (one 2.5 hour class). Sewing Foundations gives us more time to dive into everything we learn in 101 and plenty of opportunity to practice. You know best which style of class works for you! Or, you can do like many of our students, and take both of them for the ultimate start into sewing!


Cancellation Policy

-A minimum enrollment must be met by 48 hours prior to the workshop or the workshop may be cancelled. If this happens you will receive a full refund. -You may cancel for a refund or transfer your registration up to 1 week before a one-time workshop, 2 weeks before a Foundations or After School series and 4 weeks before a camp. There are no refunds or class transfers for guest teachers. After this date there will be no refunds or transfers unless we are able to fill your spot from a waitlist. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so you will receive a full refund. -No shows forfeit any refund or transfers. -Hartford Stitch reserves the right to substitute teachers either for a single class or the entire session if necessary.
